ALIX Started With a Problem We Could See—and Experience.
ALIX was born from a simple observation: people are busy, responsibilities are increasing, and there is often no one reliable to help.
As a student, Tunmbi Samuel Akintunde, Founder and CEO of ALIX, experienced firsthand some of the challenges that come with starting university life. At the same time, he saw the struggles faced by graduates and young people searching for meaningful opportunities in a difficult employment environment.
He also noticed the pressure placed on people who work demanding 9–5 jobs and business owners who have to balance work with the countless responsibilities of everyday life.
The question became simple: What if there was a trusted platform people could turn to when they needed something done? That question became the beginning of ALIX.
ALIX was created to take everyday responsibilities off people’s shoulders while creating opportunities for people with skills, experience and the willingness to work.
From cleaning a home to preparing meals, running errands, helping students with documentation, handling logistics or supporting an event, ALIX is built around one idea: You don’t have to do everything yourself.
What started as an idea is being developed into a technology-driven platform designed to serve people across Nigeria and, eventually, beyond Nigeria.
Our ambition is not simply to provide services. We want to professionalise everyday service work, create more opportunities for people to earn, and build a service culture based on trust, accountability and excellence.
